Mentoring
Katrina holds a PhD in creative writing from Goldsmiths and has received several awards for her writing, including a 2024 Arthur Welton Award for her forthcoming collection, Battery Rocks, the 2021 Keats-Shelley Prize for Poetry and the 2022 Saboteur Award for Best Collaboration. Her fourth collection, Battery Rocks, is published by Seren in July 2024.
She is an experienced and sought-after tutor. Katrina teaches for Arvon, the Poetry School, Dartington and Ty Newydd, and has mentored for the Poetry Society for many years. She runs courses, workshops and one-to-one sessions via zoom and in person.

Many of Katrina’s mentees have gone on to find publishers for their pamphlets and collections;
some of these collections have been internationally recognised, winning major prizes.
Katrina is Chair of the Society of Authors’ Poetry & Spoken Word Group. She is a member of the National Association of Writers in Education (NAWE), the Poetry Society, and is a member of the Writer’s Prize Academy.
