Katrina has been awarded an Arthur Welton Award for her forthcoming collection, Battery Rocks.

The award is from the Society of Authors and is in memory of the 20th century poet and philanthropist, Arthur Welton.

Katrina says: When I heard I’d received the Arthur Welton Award for Battery Rocks from the Society of Authors, I burst into tears. And I don’t even mind that clichéd phrase because the award has made me so happy. I don’t know who the judges are but THANK YOU. This means so much.

Battery Rocks ‘a meditation on nature, risk, swimming and the sea’ is published on 8 July with Seren Books.
